- This Support role is a seasoned professional role.
- Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function.
- Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area.
- Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business.
- Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach or taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information.
- Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources.
- Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required.
- Regularly assumes informal or formal leadership role within teams.
- Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization.

- 7 plus years of experience in application development and/or Application support
- 5 plus years in Ab Initio (or other ETL tools) and Database related projects
- 4 plus years with UNIX commands, Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, ETL, job scheduling tools, system monitoring tools like GENEOS, App Dynamics, etc
- Knowledge on IT service process ITIL and have mindset of DevOps or Prod Support
- Knowledge on Abinitio and shell scripting is preferred
- Knowledge on Finance accounting domain
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail, troubleshooting, log analysis skills though out application components
- Willing to work flexible hours.
- Perform technical operational tasks on routine basis within OLA.
- Trouble shooting issues reported by users and issues self-detected within SLA Independently resolve all known issues and 80% of newly occurred issues, including data investigations.
- Monitoring and recover all batch processes.
- Maintain environment stabilities
- Coordinate with Level 3 ad Development team on resolving issues in PROD environment and provide feedback.
- Collect environment improvement points and coordinate the plan along with Development team and application owners.
- Planning or coordinating release, knowledge sharing, migrations and disaster recovery documentations.
- Provide support and share knowledge in training new team members
- Develop support-script and simplify issue-investigation scripts
- Take lead on new implementations and rollouts
- Degree in Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Should be a quick learner
- Issue ownership end to end
- Strong Unix knowledge
- Strong SQL knowledge
- Understanding of data flow, batch processing, in large scale data processing (preferably finance domain)
- Prod Support logistics like ticketing, SLAs, RCA, resolution, Incident management, follow-ups etc.
- Understanding Data quality issues and investigation and ability to connect the dots
- Understanding large enterprise application that involves heavy data volumes
- String Development or support ETL experience (Ab Initio is preferable.
- Other ETL tools like DataStage/Informatica/etc is also fine)
