Job Description Qualifications:
Boeing’s Advanced Design and Prototype Solutions (ADaPS) organization in Huntsville, AL is seeking a DevOps and Network Architect to develop network, cyber and deployment application consistent with DevSecOps migration for National Team and Aircraft programs.
The new or modified/rearchitected software will be implemented within containers, and automatically deployed. Networks will be architected and deployed for use by analysts and simulation developers, as well as for verification and validation. Lab and development systems will be managed and maintained. Some development will be needed for DevOps and Cyber (especially scripting).
The successful candidate will be responsible for activities including but not limited to:
Work collaboratively with simulation developers to ensure security, and deployment schemes
Help automate and streamline our operations and processes that support continuous integration/testing/delivery, including script development
Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our develop, test and production environments
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of LINUX and Windows operating systems and their security and network features. Candidate should also have background in network architectures and implementations, VM deployments, Containers, and network intrusion monitors.
Our team is looking for a DevOps candidate who is systematic, open-minded, accurate, team-oriented, and well-organized.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. (Huntsville, AL)
This position requires a top secret security clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or Information Technology
5+ years of experience with LINUX and Windows operating systems at the system administrator level
5+ years of experience with classified network architecture and designs
Some experience with DevSecOps
Top Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with large distributed simulations
Experience with network technologies and deployment in classified environments
Experience with CI/CD environments and tools such as Jenkins or Gitlab desired.
Experience with Vmware, or Docker Container deployment
Experience with NetApp
Some C++ or java or python development
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
