About the role:

Waters is seeking a bright, results driven, hands-on AEM Lead Developer who will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment, and support of Waters.com B2B eCommerce site. As a team member working in a team environment you will work with solution architects and developers on interpretation/translation of wireframes and creative designs into functional requirements, and subsequently into technical designs and code.

Responsibilities
  • Translate business goals into technical requirements, conduct code/design reviews, and drive the technical implementation of web projects throughout the project lifecycle
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and stable web, mobile and eCommerce solutions that meet business needs.
  • Manage customer relationship by communicating Adobe AEM (CQ) architecture standards and frameworks; answering questions; resolving concerns and issues
  • Partner with Visual Design and User Experience teams to develop effective/engaging designs.
  • Own and drive specific area(s) of website functionality such as search, products, account, videos, web site performance – including prioritize enhancement stories and developing features for those areas of responsibility
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and agile development
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology or related experience
  • 10+ years of hands-on software development experience including at least 5 years of in-depth AEM 6.3 or higher technical/coding and extensive working experience is required
  • 10 or more years of Java software development
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of delivery lead / project leadership experience in managing AEM full life cycle implementations is required.
  • Experience coding front-end standards-compliant HTML/CSS that is scalable and cross-browser compatible.
  • Experience in AEM Sites / Assets (DAM) / Workflow customization
  • Expert knowledge of Java, J2EE, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery and related technologies
  • Knowledge of web project lifecycle including front-end/back-end development.
  • Experience developing new functionality (templates and components) in Adobe Experience Manager.
  • Hands on experience in Java Content Repository (API) suite, Sling web framework and Apache Felix OSGi framework, DAM, Workflows preferred.
  • Experience in integrating third-party systems with Adobe CQ as part of overall architecture is a plus
  • Familiarity with continuous deployment and DevOps tools preferred. Experience with Git preferred
  • Experience working in agile/scrum environments
  • Successful track record interfacing and communicating effectively across cross-functional teams.
