Responsibilities:

  • Establish and communicate the annual calendar for iterations and Program Increments.
  • Facilitate PI Planning readiness through Pre-PI and Post-PI planning meetings.
  • Facilitate PI Planning events.
  • Summarize Program PI objectives and publish them for visibility and transparency.
  • Assist tracking the execution of features and enablers.
  • Facilitate periodic synchronization meetings.
  • Coach leaders, Teams, and Scrum Masters in lean-agile practices.
  • Manage Risks and Dependencies at Program level.
  • Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks.
  • Encourage collaboration between teams, architects, product management and stakeholders.
  • Improve the flow of value by assessing DevOps and Release on Demand opportunities.
  • Help drive the Lean User Experience innovation cycle.
  • Facilitate System Demos.
  • Drive improvements via Inspect and Adapt workshops.
  • Manage agile metrics and executive reporting
Qualifications:
  • The organization is looking for a Release Train Engineer (RTE)/Agile Coach to manage a mix of Waterfall, Agile and Agile hybrid managed initiatives.
  • The successful candidate will have a strong agile background with minimum of 5 years of experience in agile roles (Release Train Engineer, Scrum Master, Agile Coach).
  • Uses industry-standard best practices in order to assure delivery of goals and objectives, as well as compliance with all discipline processes and governance channels.
  • Will provide coaching and guidance to matrixed teams, Product Owners and Scrum Masters.
  • Will facilitate and enable end-to-end value delivery. This will be a customer facing role requiring the candidate to demonstrate High EI, strong communication skills, tactfulness and diplomacy.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of IT work experience with 2 years as Release Train Engineer.
  • Requires knowledge of multiple agile development methodologies and frameworks.
  • Requires understanding of iterative and incremental development.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching Scrum Masters, Product owners and team members.
  • Requires SAFe certification.
