This position provides technical leadership and hands-on technical guidance on Claims Advanced Analytics and Operational Reporting projects. The role is responsible for guiding and aligning project development activities with the Claims Advanced Analytics target architecture, while meeting business needs. The tech lead will work closely with the Claims Analytics architecture team to estimate, build and manage all technical aspects of Agile projects. Critical to this role is an understanding of modern data-driven application architecture, data analytics and engineering and Cloud platforms.

- Implement end-to-end reusable and scalable analytic projects for complex data-driven business solutions that enables advanced analytics and business insight capabilities.
- Provide technical leadership and direction on Agile teams implementing Advanced Analytics and Operational Reporting solutions
- Develop a solid understanding of all aspects of Data & Analytics program solution design, including data governance, conformance and mapping rules.
- Effort and cost estimations for Analytic and Operational reporting projects and technical solutions
- Work with the overall delivery program facilitating proactive communication to stakeholders including issue resolution
- Define and document technical user stories, help the team to clarify their understand, and drive the team to close user stories on time
- Deliver conceptual and high-level technical designs that align with architecture direction and meet business needs, incorporating appropriate input from various platform specialists and domain experts.
- Communicate effectively with development team, contractors, business users and IT managers to assist in the identification of application needs and to get buy-in to technical direction and strategy.
- Stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies.
- Act as an internal mentor to agile team leads and developers on projects.
- Identify, recommend, and implement opportunities for process improvements
- Proficiency with data-driven applications and integration, Cloud technologies and concepts, real-time analytics, business insights, streaming data and machine learning tools.
- Facilitate technical design and overview discussions with projects team including architects, data analysts, developers, modelers and testers
- Effective time management/prioritization, pushing team members to close impediments faster and proactively escalate when commitments have critical blockers
- Experience with architecting and delivering Analytics solutions, preferably for the Financial and Insurance industries.
- Experience with Cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS and Data Lake technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, etc. Azure is preferred, and a knowledge of the Azure Analytics and Integration stacks would be a definite plus.
- Experience with SQL, ETL technologies and data visualization tools such as Qlik and Tableau.
- Experience in Python and libraries such as Pandas, TensorFlow, etc., and machine-learning tools would be a plus.
- Experience with using DevOps, continuous integration and automated testing with related tooling for delivery.
- Experience in designing or using micro-services and API-based architectures.
