- Position is primarily a Linux support, DevOps / SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) role on our
- Application Services Team
- Supports, monitors, enhances, and controls the production, test and development of
- operational environments encompassing hardware, operating system, database management
- system and application software processing
- Responsible for providing advanced level of support to a diverse community of users ranging
- from internal software development and testing to external users of production services.
- Responsible for providing advanced level of support for our software deployment tools and
- creating new deployment pipelines to provide improved performance and reliability
- Participates in and contributes to capacity planning, configuration management, change
- management and problem management
- Works with customer support, product management, quality assurance, infrastructure and
- software engineering teams to effectively control production, testing and development
- environments, scheduled outages, reporting, recovery and communication
- Creates/maintains/edits policies, plans, processes and standards that help to ensure a stable,
- reliable and consistent operational environment
- Defines and/or implements information security controls
- Participates in a cyclic on‐call rotation process for supporting production operations
- Adheres to organizational processes, policies, and procedures
- Works independently and as a team member exhibiting initiative, ownership and a sense of
- urgency
- Ability to adapt to an ever‐changing environment

- Knowledge and experience with Linux‐based scripting (Bash, Python, Ruby, Lua, etc.)
- Experience working in a SaaS operational environment preferred
- Experience with EDI technologies is desirable. TIBCO EDI experience is a significant plus
- Experience with web‐related technologies such as Apache server, Mod_Security, Redis,
- HAProxy, etc
- Experience with container‐based technologies, such as Kubernetes, is a plus
- Experience supporting Java‐based applications including JVM tuning, Java application
- servers/containers such as Jetty and Tomcat and frameworks such as Spring
- Familiarity with MS SQL Server is desirable
- Experience with JIRA ticketing system is desirable
- Hands‐on experience with operational and performance monitoring/alerting software such as
- SolarWinds IPMonitor, Nagios, Observium, Extrahop, etc.
- Solid awareness, understanding and experience with information security principles and
- controls
- Experience with patch management
- Able to think independently and act proactively to resolve complex system issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
