This client is transitioning its infrastructure to AWS. We have started this transition and are in the beginning stages. We are on a mission to modernize our systems, adopt DevOps principles and build reliable, resilient, self-healing and efficient systems. Our goal is to build systems and processes that are self-healing. We are in the middle of this transition. Half our systems are legacy and the other half is built in cutting-edge technology. We are not there yet, but our goal is to get there in the next one year. As AWS Cloud Engineer, you will closely work with other stakeholders to design and build the infrastructure while maintaining and supporting our existing on-premise systems.

Job Summary:

As AWS Cloud Engineer, you will closely work with other stakeholders to design and build the infrastructure while maintaining and supporting our existing on-premise systems.
Job Duties:
- Ability to demonstrate, understand and apply our workplace mission, vision and values
- Design and build AWS infrastructure and network and integrate it with existing on-premise infrastructure
- Administer, troubleshoot, and monitor Linux and Windows based systems and Active Directory
- Provision, configure and maintain cloud infrastructure and applications
- Partner with Security and compliance team to identify gaps and implement best practices
- Willing and able to work in DevOps culture, collaborate across functional teams, and be a strong team player
- Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years' experience in a related field
- Self-driven, willing to explore and learn new tools and technologies
- Must understand networking aspect of hybrid network along with AWS
- Infrastructure experience - VPN, load balancer, DNS, switching and routing protocols, VPC, direct connect. load balancer, transit gateway, firewall (Preferably Palo Alto) required
- Hands-on work experience in AWS (IAM, Groups, Policies, and access control) required
- Production level experience using and debugging core AWS technologies (Serverless, Lambda, IAM, VPC, EFS) required
- Infrastructure as Code (Preferably Terraform) required
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and designing, implementing, or supporting CI/CD process flows with Jenkins, Ansible, Code Pipeline, Chef, Puppet and other DevOps/SysOps tools on cloud and on premises preferred
- Hands-on experience in automation of infrastructure and applications
- Experience scripting provisioning of servers, applications, and/or infrastructure in a production environment using infrastructure as Code preferred
- Experience managing large-scale on-prem or cloud-based Infrastructure as a DevOps engineer, and managing complex applications running at scale preferred
- Existing experience in automating applications, scheduling jobs using shell scripting on Linux systems (Red Hat preferred) and Windows PowerShell preferred
- Experience with automation tools
