The Business Intelligence Engineer II is responsible for analyzing, designing and developing datasets, dimensional data models, reports and dashboards to support enterprise reporting and analytical requirements. This includes following enterprise standards and the certified Dashboard UX framework to develop production-grade datasets, paginated reports and interactive dashboards based on business needs.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resorts policies, practices and procedures. analytical requirements.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Interpersonal, consultative and technical skills to develop Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and Technical Design Documents (TDD).

Analyze and evaluate new data requirements for business intelligence dashboards and reports, and collaborate with the data architecture team and the data services team to implement new data integrations for business intelligence products.

Design and implement scalable, user-friendly analytical models and visualization solutions sourcing data across platforms.

Own, troubleshoot and resolve all data issues for the business intelligence team via data and code analysis across all business intelligence platforms.

Strong communication and presentation skills and must possess exceptional ability to work well with individuals and teams at all levels, across all LOB. governed KPIs and certified data sources. governed KPIs and certified data sources.

Define and implement data security model across all business intelligence products including row level security and partitioning. Partner with the Master Data Management and Data Governance teams to ensure reporting solutions use governed KPIs and certified data sources. Document project-specific processes and data flows, data dependencies, data definitions and relevant business rules to support the Data Governance team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field.

Two (2) + years of prior relevant experience.

PREFERRED:

Prior experience with data warehouse modeling, architectures, OLAP, OLTP data sets, and related technologies.

Prior experience with enterprise-wide systems, agile-based development, Scrum, Kanban or other agile methodology and experience working in a DevOps culture.

Prior Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS, and modern ecosystems.

Experience with performance tuning of tabular and multidimensional data models as well as dashboards and reports to improve results.
