Your Role and Responsibilities
Cloud and Cognitive Expert Labs is hiring a high-performing, hands-on Cloud Architect who is
passionate about helping Government customers to use the latest IBM Data and AI technologies
to develop and deploy mission solutions. You will work closely with integration developers,
customers, product and infrastructure teams to architect and deliver production cloud solutions
on a client private cloud. As a Cloud Architect in the Cloud and Cognitive Expert Labs Federal
Delivery organization you will work in an agile, collaborative environment with customer
stakeholders and delivery engineers to deliver solutions that have a
mission impact
.

and extensive experience with cloud native computing technologies

You are great at solving problems, debugging, troubleshooting, and designing &
addressing complex technical issues

You are a technical leader who can motivate and guide teams to deliver

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
US Citizen with active TS/SCI clearance

At least 5 years of experience as a system architect to design and support data
intensive applications.

At least 2 years of experience
troubleshooting and supporting
microservice-based
cloud application using Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift or equivalent private cloud
technology.

At least 2 years of experience with DevOps technology such as Jenkins, Ansible,
Terraform, Git etc.

Familiarity with architectural principles related to capacity planning, performance
engineering, disaster recovery, and design-option analysis

Familiarity with creating architectural design documentation, technical drawing, and
leading architectural design review meetings

Experience to work with Federal government clients and the associated Software
Engineering Life Cycle (SELC)

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or related discipline

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience with Agile development or CMMI principles

Experience with security standards such as FISMA, DISA STIG and related security compliance process

Experience with DoDAF or TOGAF architecture framework

Experience with large scale data integration or enterprise search project

Redhat OpenShift Administrator certification or equivalent training

AWS Solution Architect certification or equivalent training

Machine Learning or AI experience/interest

Experience leading or managing infrastructure teams

Experience working with federal government contracts, procedures, standards and specifications
