Our Reputed Client is looking for a Cloud/Automation Developer who is expected to have a strong technical background with proven experience in building and delivering highly complex platforms. This individual is also expected to have experience with modern technologies, leveraging best practices in the areas of open source tech solutions, managing software development and agile methodologies. The Cloud/Automation Developer will work with the Engineering Manager - Cloud and DevOps, and function as a critical team member in a highly skilled team of Cloud Engineers accountable for the design and development of automation for Azure/AWS platform configuration and controls.
- Embrace the vision to lead the transformation of currently leveraged outsourced application development model to an in-house model to include development of key business and customer facing solutions
- Part of the technical delivery team for the automated provisioning of cloud and cloud native application infrastructure stack using GitOps and Kubernetes Operators
- Work with the Technical Lead and the Product Owner to author infrastructure and deployment requirements; recommend, challenge, and validate Cloud services to meet new application/product needs
- Design and write code to deliver automated infrastructure for enterprise applications utilizing CI/CD pipelines
- Build the necessary CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or other orchestration tools
- Develop robust test cases and scripts based on the corporate testing standards to build a highly reliable automation system
- Responsible for compliance to ensure privacy, security of data/information on cloud platform/applications
- Practice and advocate agile/lean principles while providing SME in one or more AWS cloud domains.
- Participate in sprint planning meetings to understands the objectives and ensure completion of work based on agreed timelines
- Define, create and serve as the custodian of the Cloud Automation and DevOps implementation Strategy
- Participate in the on-call rotation to handle system disruptions
- Software development experience a must with a demonstrated affinity for continuous learning specifically in the technology domain and how to leverage it for building great reliable products
- Bachelor’ Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent related technical field
- At least 2-3 years’ experience building, leading, managing and supporting Cloud Platforms supporting omni channel commerce platforms
- Hands-on experience with designing, building and supporting microservices infrastructures in a hybrid cloud environment
- Experience building containerized applications using GitOps, K8s, Service Mesh, K8s operators
- Service-oriented individual who possesses a true 24×7 support and service mentality
- Experience working as a part of a development team, building applications/infrastructures, and adopting principles and standards in the design, development, and delivery of solutions
- Previous hands-on experience deploying and managing infrastructure with Azure, AWS, Kubernetes; experience with configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet)
- Familiarity with agile delivery, DevOps cycle, Release Management planning
- Should possess technical experience in cloud infrastructure design and operation to recognize the quality, reliability, and scalability of your team’s work
- A strong desire for action and ownership; you take personal pride and joy from the output of your team and are continuously pushing the bar higher
- Demonstrate hands-on and fluency in at least one complete stack (Java SpringBoot or JavaScript or Python with REST API, Graph QL, SQL, NoSQL, Graph DB’s, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience with either Test-Driven development or Behavior Driven development with a clear understanding of the tool stack. Expertise in unit test, building Integration, smoke and regression testing suite, code coverage process, and pipeline setup
- Experience using a project management/ticketing tool such as JIRA
- A product mentality - the ability to define goals, consider trade-offs, prioritize, defend decisions, and execute
- The ability to build relationships with stakeholders, help others grow in their careers, and create inclusive environments
- Master's Degree
