The Data Platform Group Office of the CTO is seeking an experienced level Cloud Software DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a Cloud Software DevOps Engineer, you will work collaboratively with the engineering and architecture teams to ensure smooth and optimal execution of the on-premise and cloud-based scale-out distributed infrastructure and services. In this capacity you will drive the development and automated deployment of the infrastructure capabilities needed to develop standard benchmarking for Intel and the industry.
Responsibilities:
Develop creative engineering solutions to operations problems, drive systems optimization through automation
Deliver the highest quality operational systems optimized for performance, security, and reliability for industry standard system benchmarking efforts
Set strong CI/CD tools and practices enabling automated deployments for the System Benchmarking efforts.
Build the infrastructure and code needed to demonstrate an easy to setup and run multi-rack scale-out system benchmarks that represent real-world end-to-end use cases for cloud and on-premise deployments
Work independently and collaboratively across multiple teams to define, develop, and set standards and practices for operational efficiency and automated deployments
Deliver open source reference implementation of the benchmark infrastructure, based on latest cloud technologies and deployment models
Qualifications
Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, and/or military experience. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Software development, DevOps, or related fields inclusive of:
2+ years of experience in DevOps/Cloud software development
1+ years of experience in Cloud Native Infrastructure development using Kubernetes, Containers, and related technologies
Software development experience in Linux, Windows, Ruby, Python, Go, Java, C/C++, and/or Node.js
Experience with CI/CD, container infrastructure life-cycle, Software source control (e.g. Git/GitHub)
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of experience in Software Development, DevOps, or related fields
Experience with Microservices based scale-out product development and deployment
Experience with IT operations in a multi-rack, scale-out infrastructure
Experience with cloud networking, service mesh, distributed and local storage and database services
Experience with Windows and/or Linux operating system environments
Experience in major CSP (Cloud Service Providers) Platforms Inside this Business Group
