RESPONSIBILITIES:
The CM/CI Engineer is responsible for the defining the server resources required to support the software build process across global operations. This individual will;
- Create and support Build and Releases metrics dashboard to measure system performance.
- Participate in the process to define Software Backup and Recovery procedures and participate in audits of execution.
- Perform as window-person to third-party CM engineers to keep CM activities aligned.
- Participate in WEB Tools interactions improvements and software development to improve Tools interaction capabilities.
- Configure tools such as Version Control Tools, CI Tools under Ubuntu operating system.
- Minimum bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related degree.
- Experience managing DevOps within the automotive industry, particularly Android Platform using Git, Gerrit and/or Jenkins is required.
- Hand’s on experience with Linux Ubuntu Operation System & Ubuntu Administration is required.
- Strong background in UNIX and Shell Scripting languages; Shell, Make, Python are required.
- Knowledgeable in Network Configuration and Network Security aspects including; sub-networks DMZ, DHCP, DNS; user’s management synchronization with Windows Domain Controller (LDAP) and Firewalls, VPN.
- Capable of performing Server utilization measurement and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Preference for candidates with any of these desirable skills/experience:
- Knowledge of Production Servers configuration/support (Dell)
- Software installation and update process for Ubuntu OS
- Able to perform periodic system patches
- Disc array and back up configuration knowledge
