About the Opportunity

National IT has an immediate opening for an Experienced Advisor, at the Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt level, to report to the Continuous Process Improvement Manager, of Cross Product Enablement.

The Experienced Advisor will work with the Continuous Process Improvement team to improve how National IT performs at all levels of the organization-- from strategy definition to service delivery, from operational effectiveness to process efficiency, from demonstration of budgetary performance and value generation to client satisfaction. The primary responsibility will be to lead continuous improvement initiatives and drive results while coaching, directing, and overseeing other enabling projects within National IT.

What You Will Do:
  • Drive the deployment of continuous improvement across assigned value streams with the end goal of increased business capabilities, customer satisfaction, faster time to market, and higher quality.
  • Design, develop, and implement improved process flows based on Lean Six Sigma analytical techniques.
  • Plan, organize, and lead Kaizen sessions for rapid improvement.
  • Work with varying levels of product owners, scrum masters, process champions, functional leaders, practitioners, subject matter experts and stakeholders within National IT and across the business technology landscape of the Federal Reserve System to guide process improvement initiatives within National IT.
  • Leverage expertise to train, coach, and mentor National IT Green Belts while simultaneously contributing to the greater body of shared knowledge including best practices, innovative solutions, and efficient strategies.
  • Consult and coach all levels of the organization.
  • Support communication and training efforts.
  • Manage and act on feedback.
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor improvement progress.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt with documented projects and/or work experience demonstrating utilization of Lean Six Sigma toolsets within an Information Technology, Financial Services, or Governmental/Military environment.
  • Experience leading or participating in Agile teams working in a SAFe Lean Enterprise preferred.
  • Knowledge of Product Management preferred.
  • Knowledge of Cloud and DevOps preferred.
  • Knowledge of Organizational Change Management/Prosci Practitioner certification preferred.
  • Ability to provide training and facilitate application of the Lean Six Sigma (LSS) philosophies and principles including the DMAIC and DMADV techniques.
  • Ability to provide guidance and advice on successful LSS deployment strategies preferred.
  • Ability to build and promote organizational change management initiatives preferred.
  • Ability to implement new approaches and techniques for process improvement at a level sufficient to facilitate such projects to a measurable, successful conclusion and replicate results.
  • Ability to coordinate and oversee the work of others to achieve organizational objectives, including planning and organizing the work, monitoring performance, and providing technical guidance leveraging matrixed teams.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective team and individual work relationships with a wide range of National IT employees and functional groups.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in order to present and prepare information related to projects to all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge with using advanced capabilities and techniques in standard Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and/or Visio), plus experience in using Minitab and/or similar analytical tools.
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
