Analytics Engineer and planning
- Job Duties and Skills required:
- Automation and process simplification
- Ability to use engineering skills to automate using python, scripts, programming knowledge to automate the process
- Self-motivated and a problem solver
- Programming skills and data engineering skills
- Ability to use Data science principals, programming, scripting and basic SQL commands to pull test analytics data and validate against specification.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Assist SW SME's/SWPM/s Business Analyst with updating database specification wiki
- Able to work / communicate with multiple functions (Business Analyst, SW/FW PM, SW/FW SME/architects, across PS PM/SME's)
- Monitor / report analytics implementation status (project phase, target dates) of multiple project teams.
- Target using Azure DevOps initially.
- Potentially move some process to automated solution (Teams, etc)
- Enter/update DevOps tickets as needed to move each project team through analytics process.
- Multiple teams and functions involved. Until automation / team training rolled out, will need DevOps tickets created/assigned to move analytics process through the teams.
- Direct project team analytics solutions, answer questions and resources
- Basic understanding of existing resource: Wiki, MS teams, files, SharePoint.
- Basic understanding of SMEs to pull in if needed.
- Assist PM/SME's reviewing analytics test data against specification
- Ability to use Data science principals, programming, scripting and basic SQL commands to pull test analytics data and validate against specification.
- Assist Software Functional test with basic questions if analytics test data has made it to the cloud; able to pull data for SFT and SME's.
- Assist SW SME's and SFT verifying that test data complies with specification for the data class.
- Experience and Education:
- Education in Computer Science / Data Engineering
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
