We are looking for a Data Quality Assurance Engineer to provide critical review and assessment of the Data Warehouse solution. This person will manage and conduct Data QA activities under the oversight of the Sr. Manager Enterprise Quality.
Requirements
- Responsible for testing the tier 1 Data Warehouse initiative to build infrastructure for a new data platform and implement multiple business use cases.
- Plans, develops, executes, implements and documents Data Quality Assurance testing principles in accordance with TMMI process and procedure.
- Works with project team to ensure Data QA automation supports the IT and business objectives that meet all requirements.
- Provide reporting to the project team on Data QA status and metrics.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in Quality Assurance including analysis, design, execution, and automated programs.
- Thorough knowledge of SQL and experience in the automation of Data QA Testing and a working knowledge of Git version control.
- The QA resource would preferably have skills in the current tool being used in the Data Warehouse team (dbt - data build tool).
- Must possess the ability to work independently and provide ownership on the Data Warehouse QA activities associated with the project.
- Experience working in an Agile team, will need to participate in User Story Acceptance Criteria development and participate in sprint planning, retrospectives and product owner demos. All activities will be tracked in Azure DevOps, which the QA team must be proficient in.
- Ability to perform Risk Assessment at completion of project related to all areas of the test strategy (automation, data, function, usability, integration, etc.)
- Monitor the effectiveness of the QA testing of applications and integration. Monitor the processes, capabilities, and integration of the Data Warehouse solution to systems.
