Job Description:
- 7-10 years of previous experience in IT
- Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
- Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
- Strong Cable Domain Experience with Billing & Provisioning knowledge
- Experience with Linux infrastructures, database SQL (MS SQL), CI/CD tools, scripting such as JavaScript, PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby, .NET, Scrum/Kanban/SAFe, Agile workflow methodologies
- Design and implement build, deployment, configuration management, handle code deployments in all environments Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve
- Analyze current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them
- Assist other department engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team
- Work alongside project/release management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives
- Experience developing engineering applications for a large corporation
- Up-to-date on the latest industry trends; able to articulate trends and potential clearly and confidently
- Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
- Work experience on Splunk would be an added advantage
