Summary:
DevOps Engineer 1 Year consulting role for a Global Investment Bank.
The DevOps Engineer will:
- Partner globally across multiple engineering teams to ensure systems are designed for operational resiliency.
- Analyze data pipelines and software architectures to improve scalability, fault tolerance, and overall system design.
- Be able to innovate and incubate new ideas,
- Responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining software systems across the full stack of our products.
- Investigate complex issues in large scale leading edge technologies and platforms
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar field of study.
- Expertise in Java, scripting languages, as well as proficiency in SQL and data manipulation.
- Experience in end-to-end solutions.
- The ability (and tenacity) to clearly express ideas and arguments in meetings and on paper.
- They should also have Experience in:
- Distributed systems,
- Message buses or real time processing,
- Platform engineering
- Large-scale system design, such as on Hadoop/Hbase,
- Data analysis
- SDLC tools
