DevOps Engineer
This role has been designated as ‘Edge’, which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office.
Job Description:
In this role, you will focus on creating the pipeline and platform that teams use to power HPE Storage’s next generation SaaS offering. You will also interface with Central DevOps, Engineering IT, and Corporate IT teams on a daily basis as a representative of the Storage Networking Group.
You’ll use Jenkins and Spinnaker to deploy Docker Containers and Kubernetes Pods running a fleet of microservices in AWS (both private and public hybrid clouds). You’ll focus on creating automation for CI/CD and make running this platform as seamless and as reliable as possible. This will include refining and further building out the existing monitoring and logging infrastructure.

How to make your mark:
- Experience writing automation code for provisioning and operating on premise Datacenter IT (including IP networks) and Cloud IT infrastructure.
- Experience with micro-services and containers deployment and management including Helm maps and Harbor repos.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Istio, Nginx, Postgres, etc.
- Familiarity with configuration management and automation frame works such as Ansible, Terraform, etc.
- Experience operating and supporting AWS Common services.
- You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- You have 2+ year of experience with multiple operating systems such as: Linux, Windows Server and VMware and languages such as: Python, GoLang and JavaScript
- You will have experience with designing, configuring and running systems on multiple platforms
- You will have experience with software systems testing methodology, including writing and executing test plans, debugging, test scripts and tools
- You will have experience with GitHub and Jira
- You will have experience with Enterprise Storage (RAID, Arrays, iSCSI, NVMe, storage switches, HBA’s and CNA’s)
- You have the ability to work in a team environment utilizing collaboration skills
- You have excellent analytical/problem solving skills and communication skills
- You have experience with Rest API and GUI interface development
