We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud Infrastructure team. We define, build, and support the AWS infrastructure and tooling needed to power Ziff Media Group's systems, including the RetailMeNot platform. We are responsible for enabling secure, cost-effective, and reliable operations in AWS.
As a member of the team, you'll be responsible for delivering secure and reliable public cloud (primarily AWS) environments. You'll be exposed to tools and technologies like Systems Manager, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Terraform, CloudFormation, Rapid7, Crowdstrike, and CloudHealth. You will help automate and streamline the company's operations and processes, and support engineers who are building our applications.

Who You Are
- You have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent STEM field, or equivalent work experience
- 2-3 years experience as DevOps Engineer
- You have an excellent understanding of cloud services, preferably AWS
- You have experience with Linux, with bash shell scripting, and scripting in Python, Go, or a similar language
- You have experience working with infrastructure provisioning tools like Systems Manager, CloudFormation, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, or others
- You have experience enabling CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline, Gitlab, or others
- You have familiarity within the container and container orchestration space (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
- You have a track record of delivering successful solutions and collaborating with others.
- You will create and support scripts written in Bash, Python, and/or Go
- You will build, deploy, execute, and administer StackSets, Lambdas, Automation Runbooks, and Systems Manager Automation runbooks
- You will support the engineering organization with access requests, account provisioning, data investigations, pipeline configurations, source code and artifact repository questions, etc.
- You will use tools such as Systems Manager, CloudTrail, and CloudHealth to help enforce Cloud Governance policies and achieve cost-effectiveness, security, and cost-effectiveness objectives
- You will assist with patches and upgrades of resources such as EC2 instances, Lambda functions, RDS and Aurora databases, and Redis caches
- You will assist with defining and configuring AWS Orgs and VPC networking
- In the future, you may help support systems such as Airflow, Redshift, and EMR
