Position Summary:

CyberMaxx is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our rapidly growing team. This role is responsible for the development, implementation, and operation of IT systems and processes supporting CyberMaxx’s managed detection and response service.

Through automation and continuous measurement, the DevOps Engineer will support provisioning, orchestration, maintenance, and finding operational efficiencies for an IT infrastructure spanning both public cloud and on-premises systems.

Primary Duties // Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with software engineering team to deploy and operate our systems
  • Everything as code – automate manual processes and aim to eliminate them
  • Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
Qualifications // Skills:
  • Experience with cloud computing technologies from vendors such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform
  • Solid understanding of the Linux or FreeBSD/OpenBSD family of Operating Systems and their underlying components
  • Experience in one or more of: C, JavaScript, Ruby, Python, or scripting experience in Shell
  • Experience with SCM (source code management) and CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous deployment) tooling
  • Infrastructure as code experiences such as Terraform, Pulumi, or Ansible
  • Experience in SQL architecture such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
  • Passionate about information security
  • Experience with container workloads
  • Committed to quality and have an eye for detail
  • Eager to learn new technology and solve problems
Education // Experience:
  • Preferably a degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or related fields
  • 3+ years of professional software/system engineering experience

Location:

This is full-time, permanent position, either fully remote or based in our Nashville HQ. We do not offer Visa sponsorship currently.
