DevOps Engineer

Tremendous opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to join a progressive technology company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with project teams to employ best practices in source control, continuous integration and delivery, automated test execution, and release management to all development and production environments
• Work closely with QA to ensure final software version is up to organization standards
• Work with System Administrators and DBA's to diagnose issues with deployed components
• Support production applications to maintain uptime and performance SOA's and metrics
• Work on special projects

This is a 6-month contract position with a potential option to extend. You can live anywhere and work 100% remotely. This is an excellent opportunity to make an impact on high-profile projects.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 3+ years as a DevOps Engineer
• Linux OS and containerized systems experience
• Kubernetes
• Some experience with Configuration Management
• Automation experience
• Strong scripting experience
• Experience with applications running in Batch systems as well as Realtime
• Experience with development CI/CD tools
• Familiarity with ITIL processes

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• RedHat OpenShift
• AWS EKS
• Oracle
• PL/SQL
• Java
• .NET/C#
• Chef, Ansible, and Terraform
• Scripting with (prefer Python, Groovy, and Bash
• Bitbucket/Git, Jenkins, Bamboo, Nexus, Octopus, Veracode, and SonarQube
• Experience with VMWare and VMWare OS automation
• Experience with Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, Java, JVM, web applications administration, and load balancing technologies
• Agile
