Maxar is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our Tactical Ground Programs team. We are seeking a cross-functional team member to perform DevOps and support a technical team that supports the US Government by providing systems engineering, software engineering, and satellite downlink expertise to develop and deploy remote satellite image processing ground systems. In this role, you will work in an Agile Scrum environment to track the status of system builds and design configurations.
Responsibilities:
Factory and remote maintenance and support of satellite image processing ground systems
Enhancing and Maintaining a containerized CI/CD pipeline
Troubleshoot, fix and enhance various Java software components in a REST architecture
Update and write Python, Perl, and shell scripts
Troubleshoot PostGres and Oracle database issues
Participate in Agile software process
Work in a dynamic team-oriented environment using Agile methodologies
Support Maxar Field Service Representatives at customer sites
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another relevant field. Four additional years of
experience may be substituted for a degree.
5 years of DevOps experience
Familiarity with RESTful services
Must be comfortable with Python, PERL
Java
Apache Tomcat
Container technologies (preferably experience with Docker, Kubernetes)
Perl
Shell scripting
Linux
Python
Relational DB experience
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development team
CI/CD pipeline experience (Bamboo, Jenkins, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Secret clearance or Top Secret clearance
React / Redux / Typescript
Smart GWT
Geographic information system (GIS) knowledge
Image processing knowledge
Unit testing experience
Experience with Atlassian Jira issue tracking software
The compensation range for this position is $89,250.00 to $148,750.00 annually, dependent on skills and experience.
