Job Overview:

A DevOps Engineer is expected to be knowledgeable in DevOps engineering ranging from CI/CD, scripting, and troubleshooting. Experience with Adobe DevOps solutions is a plus. The DevOps Engineer is not required to have a programming background, but experience with programming or scripting/automations is definitely preferred.

You will provide best-fit DevOps solutions for one or more projects; you will assist in defining scope and sizing of work; and assist Proof of Concept developments. You will provide and maintain DevOps solutions to help resolve business problems and opportunities. You will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high quality solutions, and various pursuits focused on our clients' business needs.

You will provide consultative and business skills through the diversity of work in multiple industry domains.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining part or all of the DevOps solution to the client, in accordance with an agreed approach and best practices
  • Understanding and experience with a broad spectrum of DevOps related solutions and technologies is preferred
  • Works with and under the direction of the Project/Team Leads and with customer representatives including architects and project managers and business managers.
  • Provides ongoing technical DevOps support to a defined business segment
  • Provides advice on solution and integration opportunities to defined business segments
  • Assists with planning and DevOps solution design support for the development of solution architectures that will be implemented in a multiple system environment
  • Communicates across client community, and is viewed as being able to demonstrate value to their team and clients
  • Contributes to knowledge tools and communities, and ensures project learnings are documented and shared
Qualifications
  • 1+ year of professional experience and a Bachelor's degree of Computer Science or equivalent degree is preferred but team will support the new hire by knowledge transfer, shadowing and training
  • Sufficient depth and breadth of technical knowledge to be individually responsible for the design and scope of DevOps deliverables within a field of expertise
  • Prior experience in the following DevOps areas is preferred but team will support the new hire by knowledge transfer, shadowing and training
  • DevOps technologies supporting CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Deployment, ideally Jenkins, Git, Nexus)
  • Development experience either with a programming language and/or a scripting language (BASH, Groovy in particular) and an understanding of code building & deployment packaging is preferred
  • Linux/Unix OS experience preferred but not required
  • Experience with Content Delivery Networks (CDN), Akamai preferred but any CDN administration experience is a plus
  • Ability to perform/drive resolution of problems on combinations of and interactions with multiple products and technologies
  • Ability to apply technology and consulting to solve client business problems
  • Able to communicate and present complex issues with assurance and confidence
  • Experience with enterprise networking concepts (DNS, IP subnets, load balancing, etc.) is a plus but not required
  • Demonstrates the use of consulting skills including: questioning, listening, ideas development, permission and rapport, and influencing
  • Demonstrates a problem solving aptitude and ability to troubleshoot issues to their root cause level and assist with issue resolutions
  • Ability to conduct/provide oral status updates/technical interchange meetings with clients and business and technical teams at a project level
  • Ability to perform in a collaborative team environment while also demonstrating an ability to complete tasks individually
  • Assists with the production of customer and project team documentation. Ability to translate technical details into concise and easy to understand written form
  • Able to discuss (within own areas of expertise) requirements with a customer, and to challenge and clarify when appropriate
  • Able to advise the client about the potential risks associated with a DevOps solution
