RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Alexandria, VA that is seeking a DevOps Engineer for a remote position. Duties:
Analyze and design all aspects of AWS environments and topologies; Assess automation opportunity from architectural perspective and prioritize proposed solutions
Migrate and deploy various customer datasets to AWS
Implement AWS security, performance, and monitoring solutions, including automated responses
Identify, design, and estimate automation process opportunities
Develop, test, and document DevSecOps Automation using scripting tools
Anticipate, identify, track, and resolve technical issues and risks affecting delivery
Configure and troubleshoot cloud, hybrid, virtual, and physical hardware and software systems
Proactively identify and resolve operational, tooling and process inefficiencies
Develop project and design documentation
Maintain regular contact with customers; Respond to customer requests promptly; Participate in process reviews to ensure the highest level of process design and understanding prior to automation
Provide technical assistance and training to project team and customer
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in IT related field (4 years of experience in lieu of degree)
Minimum of 9 years of IT experience
5 years of experience with architecture, development tools, applications, and infrastructure in an AWS cloud-based/hybrid environment
5 years of experience with Agile/DevSecOps development
2 years of experience designing, developing, testing, and documenting DevSecOps automations
Experience mentoring other developers and business analysts to design, develop, and deploy DevSecOps automations
Experience with modern enterprise architecture patterns for modernizing applications, microservices, and containerization
Experience with test-driven development and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) across multiple HW/SW platforms
Technical writing skills including proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of documentation tools
