SAIC is currently looking to hire a DevOps Engineer to work on the AMRDEC MCE project located in Huntsville, Alabama (Redstone Arsenal).
Responsibilities:
- Candidate will be expected to work in a small team environment to design, implement and test build processes to support the entire SW lifecycle.
- Candidate will be expected to break up larger build systems into smaller, incrementally delivered components on tasks that have been assigned to them.
- Candidate will be required to create and present design documentation, as well as participate in design reviews for build processes assigned to their team. Good communication skills are a must.
- Candidate will be expected to participate in peer reviews of other teammates' implementation and design (e.g. code reviews).
- Candidate will be expected to test developed SW in a lab environment with actual fielded hardware.
Required Education:
Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience; 4 years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
Required Skills:
- Ability to code and script (ideally Python but other languages acceptable)
- Experience and knowledge with command line interface (Bash)
- Ability to build, test, deploy and facilitate continuous integration and delivery (Jenkins)
- Ability to build, run and manage containers on servers (Docker)
- Experience with Atlassian Tool Suite (Bitcucket, Confluence, JIRA)
- Experience and knowledge of software version control systems (Git)
- Java
- Gradle build tools
- Sonarqube
- Fortify
- Sonatype Nexus
- Linux Containers (LXC)
- gcc
- Experience with Army Tactical Systems
- Must have an Interim Secret Clearance to start with the ability to obtain a full Secret Clearance; US Citizenship is required.
