The Engineering Devops team is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the software development pipeline across all products at Sandata Technologies. The team ensures success by partnering with internal/external engineering teams and developing scalable tools and infrastructure that help engineers develop, test, debug and release software quickly. Devops Engineers understand the entire SDLC and can reconcile changes in software capabilities with the demands of an evolving development workflow. What you will do:
- Administer and build Continuous Integration pipelines of moderate complexity. Setup build plans and assist developers with failures. Provide input on Cloud environment setup and implementation plan.
- Implement monitoring of applications to ensure systems stay stable and running
- Contribute to engineering efforts from planning and organization thru execution and delivery.
- Solve engineering problems in tools and testing and the integration of tools and infrastructure
- Drive adoption of best practices in monitoring, code health, and maintainability
- Forge a path to a new, scalable, distributed pipeline while maintaining the active, legacy software systems used in software development
- Assist the team on solving and implementing difficult technology challenges successfully
- Automate development delivery process using scripts and other appropriate tools
- Support developers with dev tools setup to enable application development
- Document processes and user guides for integration tools and scripts
- Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to analyze and troubleshoot complex production issues
- Ensure security of personal health information (PHI) and report any violations or observations to management.
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- Extensive knowledge and experience working in DevOps and Agile environment
- Advanced experience with Atlassian Bamboo specs
- Experience monitoring applications with New Relic
- Working experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages such as Java, Python or .NET
- Experience using DevOps technologies and tools: Jenkins, Bitbucket, Docker, Kubernetes
- Working experience with Agile process and tools (Jira, Confluence)
- Working knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Perl
- Application Servers – Broad understanding of multiple application server platforms including Apache Tomcat and IIS/.Net
- Working experience with other development and performance tools such as JUnit, VeraCode and SonarQube
