What you’ll do
As a DevOps Engineer in our Fraud and Security Intelligence division, you will help build and maintain infrastructure as code using Kubernetes clusters and discrete environments. You will help apply best practices to improve existing workflows for installation and configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of application servers to meet solution development needs and maximize system performance, availability, and security of all systems.
You will:
Bring your experience of best DevOps tools and methodologies to define and implement standardized workflows.
Perform daily system administration tasks to verify that all systems are up and running.
Perform routine system maintenance and assist with test data, automating processes, and ensuring security.
Monitor and troubleshoot application issues to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and system responsiveness.
Understand and integrate with the various cloud, on-prem, and hosted deployment methods which SAS uses.
Document processes and communicate across development groups.
What we’re looking for

You have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
5+ years of Linux systems administration experience managing both host server and guest server configurations.
Experience working with:
DevOps tools, techniques, and technologies (Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD, Agile).
At least one of the following development languages: Python, Ruby, Go, Bash.
Cloud infrastructure technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
The nice to haves
Hardware knowledge of storage, network, CPU and memory.
Certifications in Linux or Cloud technologies.
Experience with Project tracking software (Confluence, Jira).
Other knowledge, skills, and abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with people of varied technical and cultural backgrounds.
Ability to diagnose a broad range of problems.
Managing multiple high-priority projects concurrently and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Flexible to work well with others as well as perform as an individual contributor.
Proven record of handling increasing responsibilities
