We're looking for a Devops Engineer who is passionate about solving real-world challenges and lights up at the idea of supporting and scaling infrastructure that supports millions of interviews across the globe.
As a Devops Engineer at Spark Hire, you'll play a critical role with in ensuring our infrastructure meets the needs of our growing customer base and dev team along with our internal controls around security.
On a day to day basis, you'll work on a variety of projects including, but not limited to:
- Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
- Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
- Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
- Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
- Generating reporting dashboards for the engineering team to monitor infrastructure
- Identifying technical problems and developing software/hardware updates and fixes
- Working with developers to ensure that development follows our established Software Development Lifecycle Policy
- Maintaining technical and organizational controls to ensure compliance with our SOC 2 certification
- 3+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Experience with building, deployment, release automation, or orchestration
- Experience with supporting enterprise Cloud applications or infrastructure
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code environments, including activities around the automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, or monitoring and testing, including continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)
- Experience with automation tools, including Terraform and Ansible
- Experience with automating system configurations and orchestrating network operations and DevOps pipelines, scaling, releases, and day-to-day system operations in Cloud environments
- Experience in working within and managing Git-based version control systems,
- Cloud Certification, including AWS, Certified Solutions Architect Associate Certification, Google Certified Professional – Cloud Architect, or MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with identifying and implementing automation to improve user experience (UX)
- Experience with scripting in Bash, Python
- Experience with system integration using a variety of protocols, including JSON, REST, and XML
- Experience with leveraging JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration
- Experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies
- Experience with managing personal project priorities and deliverables
- Experience working with Galera Cluster
- Experience working in a SOC 2 certified environment
