We are looking for a DevOps Lead Engineer. The candidate must have a broad knowledge of development tools and technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor team members on DevOps practices
- Design and develop solutions to fix identified problems in DevOps environment (utilizing existing tools/processes)
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our test and production environments.
- Provide internal support and scalability for our continuously evolving engineering environment.
- Work with Continuous Integration/Configuration platforms and tools to automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment flow.
- Identify automation opportunities to improve DevOps operations
- Perform code review for application configuration and operational tools
- Keep our documentation up-to-date especially operational run books
Requirements:
- 10+ years of development/DevOps experience in a distributed online consumer applications environment
- 3+ years as a technical leader and experience coaching junior team members
- Strong automation and problem-solving skills and ability to carry tasks and projects to completion
- Strong experience with scripting languages and using them in automation (primarily Bash and Python) are required
- Strong experience with configuration/cluster management technology such as Ansible is a must
- Strong experience with Jenkins Pipeline and Jenkins DSL
- Strong with *nix, CentOS is a must
- Familiar with at least one framework, preferability Python Django is highly desirable
- Experience with highly scalable and distributed infrastructure
- Exposure to web-based software development or operations
- Passion for best practices in computer science disciplines, object orientation, test driven design, and code reuse
- Excited to learn new technologies and tools as our applications and systems changes
- Working in a team environment where attention to source management, quality and code documentation is expected
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
