WHAT YOU WILL DO
In this role, you will collaborate with various teams to design robust, redundant, fault tolerant and secure cloud solutions using best practices. Your day will typically be split between working with our engineering and operations teams. You will be a hands-on contributor and will have the responsibility to manage and support DevOps activities of the entire domain:
- Develop runbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for each service and application to ensure DevOps and support teams can detect incidents or issues before customers are impacted and act quickly to restore impacted services
- Responsible for building and managing entire CI/CD pipelines working with tools such as GitHub actions, Flux and Terraform
- Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve issues with practical solutions and traverse multiple projects in a highly efficient, detail and task-oriented manner
- Implement on-call practices and procedures for operations teams, and participate in on-call rotation to address service level agreements
- Bachelor's degree with minimum 10+ years of experience managing large scale customer facing high availability mission critical services with 6+ years in Cloud technologies
- Demonstrated expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, IaC, Distributed Databases and CM
- Hands on expertise in public cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively via RCA approach
- Experienced in agile tooling (Jira), distributed code management (GitHub) and deployment strategies that support both iterative and continuous development
- Expert in Linux, bash, Python, Java, NoSQL and open-source tools and technologies
- Experienced in implementing and maintaining monitoring and alerting systems, creating service level indicators and self-healing solutions to ensure system uptime and redundancy
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, mentor team members, and build positive relationships
