Major digital imaging company seeks DevOps Software Program Manager.

Reports to: Director of Platform Software Engineering
Purpose: Steward within the software engineering group to drive cross-team deliveries, work with 3rd parties and establish DevOps culture and processes for successful project execution, as well as be a key partner to software Product Owner(s). This role can work remotely, with occasional trips to Rochester, NY as needed.

Responsibilities:
1. Works with the Product Owner(s) to support strategy development, understand the market, evaluate new technologies, participate in competitive benchmarking, and generate new product ideas.
2. Supports Product Owner(s) in prioritization of Backlogs, management of Product Roadmaps, and Release Planning in a scaled agile environment.
3. DevOps Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the organization capable of applying these practices to all aspects of software development, such as facilitates adoption, coaches others, and helps train Kodak Moments staff as we adopt new practices and refine them.
4. Drives continuous improvement initiatives for the project and organization, working in concert with other groups.
5. Drive multiple projects and features simultaneously to meet goals and objectives by tracking costs, performance, service level agreements (SLAs) and other metrics.
6. Ensure successful implementation of assigned projects and features through daily monitoring of all operational aspects and gaining stakeholders’ consensus.
7. Provide status updates by coordinating management reviews and leading Agile ceremonies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, demos, sprint retrospectives, checkpoints, etc.
8. Translates business KPIs into appropriate software performance metrics and establishes cross-functional criteria for software release. Approves release readiness of all software and cross-functional deliverables, e.g. software, release notes, call center training documents, service plans, etc.
9. Ensures all required legal approvals are obtained for the product, such as SW licenses and contracts, regulatory, JDA’s, CDA’s, etc.
10. Works with the Product Owner(s) to support technical strategy development, evaluate new technologies, and participate in competitive benchmarking.
11. Investigate and recommend technology choices for make vs. buy decisions for the program. Contributes to software architecture decisions.

Basic Qualifications:
- B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant technical field.
- 5+ years’ experience as a software development manager in a multi-team environment, planning and leading multiple projects using modern project management techniques and DevOps practices in an Agile environment
- Ability to develop working relationships with peers and project members.
- Deep understanding of software engineering best practices.
- Experience managing projects using Agile and DevOps tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge and experience with IaC/CaC, automation testing, CI/CD, feature flags, and Shift Left security.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment with a willingness to dive deep to get things done.
- A disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance.
- Experience simplifying both processes and technical implementations.
- Passion for insisting on high standards.
