Position Summary

Responsibilities:
- Support application monitoring for Java, .NET and NodeJS application architectures.
- Monitor the responsiveness and availability of critical websites and web applications from the end-user perspective.
- Monitor, alert and report on the health and performance of project team applications.
- Track applications’ availability across cluster servers, including AWS cloud with built-in alerting and instant notification of issues.
- Provide deep visibility of application performance for project teams.
- Setup analytical databases to predict application performance on application changes.
- Simulate and measure Quality of Experience (QoE) for project team applications.
- Communicate changes and outages to appropriate stakeholders.
- Ensure efficiency and conformity in operation through effective communication with all staff.
- Participate in corporate continuous improvement initiatives to enhance client service, efficiency, and profitability.
- Work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
- Provide direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies.
- Use technical expertise to help internal project teams and others by answering technical questions regarding the usage, trouble-shooting and functionality of delivery systems products to ensure effective implementation and usage of delivery system products.
- Apply knowledge of computing systems to choose appropriate troubleshooting techniques to resolve complex, escalate delivery systems problems.
- Work with appropriate product supplier (AppDynamics) for enhancements and issues not resolved in-house.
- Use technical and industry knowledge to choose an appropriate solution from a number of possible standards.
- Document information such as configuration, installation and user guides following process standards.
- Template management and rollout.

- Configure AppDynamics to monitor Applications
- Setup and Analyze AppDynamics analytical data to predict future performance based on historical trends
- Perform analysis on logs and use problem solving techniques
- Build/maintain AppDynamics dashboards
- Integrate AppDynamics with third party products
- Configure auto mail rules
- Perform Patches & Upgrades
- Generate Monthly Operational Reports
- Complete user request tickets on AppDynamics Administration, Customizations, and Maintenance & Extract Reports
- Writing macros/scripts
- Deployment of hosts, software/services, patches and hotfixes, add-ins, etc.
- Can Build Dashboards for the AppD product and other Automation tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- AppDynamics training and certification.
- 5 years of experience with demonstrated technical proficiency in AppDynamics.
- Proven proficiency with AppDynamics Monitoring of large scale JEE Applications (WebLogic, JBoss, and Tomcat), .NET and NodeJS applications.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure environments such as Amazon AWS and how to monitor with AppDynamics.
- Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems.
- Performs complex systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering.
- Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.
- Reviews completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management and/or clients.
- Plans and directs upgrades of operating systems and designs systems enhancements.
- Develops documentation on new or existing systems.
- Develops and directs tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements.
- Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems.
- Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.
- Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
- Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced systems engineers and may have supervisory responsibilities.
- Serves as liaison with clients, participating in meetings to ensure client needs are met.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
- Participates in special projects as required.
