As a Staff/Lead Technical Program Manager in an agile Medical Software Product Development environment, you will be working as part of a team of Technical Program Managers. You will be responsible for planning, tracking, and end to end delivery of some of the most complex programs of work, as well as being a senior leader with the Delivery Management team, providing strategic and execution leadership. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders and sponsors across multiple geographies within the global product development community.

- You will partner with stakeholders and teams to help define the program OKRs and roadmap
- You will be responsible for program planning and tracking, focusing on regular and timely delivery of value to end customers.
- As an agile coach you will manage and optimize the flow of work using the principles of agility, facilitate planning sessions and other agile activities, and most importantly be an agile advocate and mentor!
- You will mentor and manage a team of technical program managers to refine their individual project management skills and behaviors, and provide opportunities to others to help upskill.
- As a senior leader within the team, you will help drive ongoing digital transformation and culture change as we strive to do the best work of our lives in a diverse and fun environment
- You will be comfortable with ambiguity and skilled at providing just-enough structure in a fast paced, evolving environment.
- Work with product managers, engineering managers, program managers and other stakeholders to ensure team alignment with commitments to the businesses and sync points with other teams.
- Proactively network with relevant stakeholders across departments to advocate for the needs and success of the programs and teams
- Organize and lead program status and working meetings, and prepare and distribute progress reports to stakeholders.
- Anticipate and mitigate risk by conducting assessments across the program to determine if the implementation plans meet stakeholder requirements and will achieve strategic objectives
- Manage changing priorities, resource constraints, dependencies and timing challenges and syncing dependencies across teams.
- Manage and communicate the implementation of significant changes to planning objectives, schedule, and product configuration to internal and external stakeholders
- Drive internal and external process improvements across multiple teams and functions
- Manage and release software in a regulated environment.
- Establish and regularly review key team metrics including resourcing, and performance trends
- Ensure the implementation of management systems within your area of responsibility (including health & safety, quality & environmental)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- PSM I or CSM
- PMP is desirable
- Combination of education and work experience will be considered
- 10+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, technical product owner, and/or technical program management experience, with 4+ years of program management experience working directly with multiple agile teams
- You must be able to understand the big picture and drive to outcomes, while engaging in the technical detail when necessary
- Experience managing programs/projects in highly matrixed agile software development cultures
- Practical experience and working knowledge of full cycle DevOps teams
- Experience working in a modern cloud-based software product development environment, with cloud native AWS experience preferred
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Familiarity with agile software development tools such as Jira preferred
- Experience in all phases of the software/project lifecycle, interfacing both with technical teams and business users spanning multiple geographies
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to inform and influence.
- You must be able to communicate effectively with deep technical people, business stakeholders, and executives, adjusting to the needs of the audience
- Outstanding time management and organization skills
- Outstanding problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Adept at facilitating decision making and resolving conflict
- Experience with scaling agile teams is preferred
- Experience working with medical devices or a regulated environment is a plus
