RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Pleasanton Grove, UT that is seeking an experienced Director of Software Engineering to lead within this fast-growing company, working with cutting-edge technology. Summary: The Director of Software Engineering will be responsible for the company's efforts around Embedded Software, Enterprise Software, Algorithms, and related development teams. This position will work to establish and enforce development standards, release management, and processes. Key Tasks:

• Director of Software Engineering will maintain world-class development environment with all the tools, team members, and structure
• Drive innovation
• As a Director of Software Engineering you will lead functional software disciplines in developing releasing and maintaining software products
• Oversee and enforce software release management and configuration management processes
• Establish and maintain policies and procedures which produce high-quality software products
• Director of Software Engineering will also manage 3rd party vendors and partners who augment development environment and products
• Assist the Product & Engineering leadership team to develop and implement product strategy and roadmap

REQUIREMENTS:

• Higher-level education in a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated engineering experience in multidisciplinary product development
• 3-4+ years of leadership experience managing teams
• Experience as a software developer
• Agile experience in a highly collaborative environment with hardware and software engineering teams
• Effective communication methods

Desired Skills:

• Experience in complex RF electronic systems or aerospace systems and software
• Experience doing field work
• Experience managing DevOps functions
