ABOUT THE TEAM
RealPage is looking for a Director of Engineering for our Investment Management team. The Investment Management team has a software platform that includes investment tracking, a CRM, document sharing, and reporting.
Our platform is made of a service-oriented Ruby on Rails API, a PostgreSQL database, and a React and TypeScript front-end. Our engineers are full-stack and work on the front-end, the API layer, and the database design. We have a dedicated dev-ops team that manages deployment, monitoring, and availability. We work in two-week sprints, and we release new code every sprint.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead multiple teams of engineers
- Hire engineers in multiple locations
- Conduct 1-on-1s and biannual performance reviews
- Help teams plan work to hit delivery targets
- Track tech debt and schedule time for refactoring
- Review feature plans and occasionally review pull requests
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering
- Experience managing engineers
- Experience with Ruby on Rails or similar web frameworks
- Experience with SQL databases
