The Cloud Management Platform is a public cloud delivered management platform to manage all Palo Alto Networks Next generation network security solutions. It’s an easy-to-use, scalable and secure platform to operationalize complex deployments using the Palo Alto Networks network security portfolio. We are looking for a Director of Engineering who is passionate about building amazing front-end experiences and building products that are simple, easy to use and delightful. You will lead and grow a full-stack UI Engineering team and also hands-on contribute to each facet of the design and development process. You need to be a great creator, collaborator, communicator, and coach/partner for the design team.

We are looking for a Director of Engineering who is passionate about building amazing front-end experiences and building products that are simple, easy to use and delightful. You will lead and grow a full-stack UI Engineering team and also hands-on contribute to each facet of the design and development process. - Leaders who can communicate cogently with hands-on engineers as well as executives
- Own the efficiency, growth, and delivery of a full stack UI Eng team, making sure the team is as productive as possible to complete short term and long term objectives
- Demonstrate thought leadership in driving the technical roadmap, architecture and hands-on development of a highly scalable, cloud-delivered, multi-tenant, micro-frontend based UI that is both extensible and delightful for our customers to use
- Deep knowledge of best practices and industry trends, while identifying unique, forward-thinking, and innovative opportunities
- Participate in recruiting, interviewing, on-boarding and development of a high performing and creative engineering team
- Engage and collaborate with key Product Management, Design and Engineering stakeholders to execute vision across the product organization
- Communicate, defend, and build consensus around design discussions and technology choices
- Ensure that the UI follows accessibility and inclusivity standards defined by WCAG, ADA, and MAS. Also, ensure that all security, browser support, and performance budgets are taken into consideration in the architecture
- Own the end-to-end delivery of solutions in collaboration with cross-functional product management, development and quality assurance teams in a fast paced environment
- Work with Devops and Technical Support teams to investigate and resolve critical customer defects
Your Expereince
- 10+ years of experience in building large enterprise or cloud applications required. 5+ years experience in technical leadership roles as a manager, a senior manager or a director
- Proven leadership skills with an ability to deliver under tight deadlines
- Proven ability to collaborate with many cross-functional teams including Product Management and Design teams with an emphasis on end-to-end delivery
- Experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, peer review, and operations
- Strong fundamentals in object oriented design and development is a must - Experience with or familiarity of Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration is required
- Experience developing full stack solutions on public cloud infrastructure is highly desirable
- Experience building network and security configuration management systems is highly desirable
- MS/BS in Computer Science or equivalent
