The Missile Defense Radar Software Department's mission is to provide world class Missile Defense and Surveillance Radar Software to be used in radar systems deployed on land and sea. Our software teams employ an Agile Scrum process to rapidly design, code, and integrate capabilities on a continuous basis into a mature solution for our customers. We strive for technical excellence by drawing upon a diverse workforce whose knowledge base covers the complete spectrum of modern computing languages and platforms.
We are seeking Software Engineers to join software development teams located in Woburn, MA which develop radar software in C/ C++. Candidates can expect to work on multiple phases of the software development life cycle. In this position, you will be responsible for providing practical solutions to difficult technical software problems. Software Engineering positions involve working on a variety of different tasks including real-time software development, application software development, test and verification, data analysis, and software tools development.
Job Summary:
An Advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for 2 additional years of experience.

Job Summary:
- Display initiative and actively participates in a Scrum team working on complex problems.
- Develop complete software solutions, and influences the successful completion of features
- Understand and utilize agile software development methods, automation, and continuous integration
- Drive improvement via automation, creative solutions or elimination of non-value steps
- Demonstrate ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of cultures and work styles
- Assist and participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of real-time embedded software, application software, and tools, to include development of new work products or enhancement of existing applications and systems
- Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions
- Participate in internal review of software components and systems
- Follow established development practices and processes to maintain the configuration management of software products

Qualification you must have:
- Education: BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math or related engineering/science discipline
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Education: Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Software Engineering
- Radar domain knowledge
- Broad real-time, multi-threaded software development and integration experience
- Strong Object-Oriented Design Knowledge including UML
- Experience developing software in a team-based development environment, preferably Agile/SCRUM
- Experience with DevOps including Test forward, automated testing and continuous integration
- Familiarity with the following Software Tools: MATLAB, Jira, Git, ClearCase, Rational Team Concert, Jenkins, DOORS, Google Test
- Strong problem-solving skills and communication skills, including ability to produce technical documentation
- Desire to learn new technologies and tools
