The North American Solution Delivery Team is responsible for managing the TJX IT Front and Back of Stores solutions. This team delivers capabilities that enrich and maintain the in-store customer experience in order to provide business value. We seek a motivated and talented Engineering Manager to help plan and deliver these capabilities within the Selling and Payments domain.
What you’ll need
The North American Solution Delivery Team thrives on strong relationships with our stakeholders to address their needs while supporting overall TJX growth and operational stability. On this tightly knit and fast-paced solution delivery team you will be constantly challenged to stretch and think outside the box.
You will be accountable for technical product oversight, including the engineering health, stability, and sustainability/maintainability of the Selling & Payments solutions. You will lead a team of direct reports consisting of Engineers of all levels. You will leverage your prior software engineering experience to lead and grow the engineers in an evolving delivery environment. You will partner with other technical team members (Managers and Individual Contributors) to implement, monitor, and measure development best practices. You will champion the Engineering Mindset within the wider Product team.

Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, specifically Java & object-oriented development
- Experience in an Agile development environment with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) preferred
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills (verbal, written, & presentation)
- Management experience, else minimum 2 years’ experience in a technical team lead role with overall direction & workload oversight responsibilities required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with retail technology solutions (e.g. Oracle Xstore or other Point of Sale or Payments solutions)
- Ability to lead technical cost/benefit analysis to inform product roadmaps and solution direction
- Team leadership / coaching / technical team career development, (up to ~10 direct reports)
- Experienced with DevOps, CI/CD processes and tools
