Enterprise Connectivity is a distributed team within Ford Mobility group responsible for architecture, systems engineering, development, validation, and the ongoing operations of connected vehicles, autonomous vehicles (AV), and electrification connectivity features.
What you'll be able to do:
The VDCC Full Stack Engineer will be working in the exciting space of connected vehicle data. You and your team are directly responsible for building the dashboards that ensure our preproduction and production vehicles meet an exceptionally high standard. This is an opportunity to work with Java, PCF, SpringBoot, Microservices, Agile, CI/CD, Jenkins, DevOps, Angular, SQL, GitHub, JSON, Swagger, Cucumber, TDD/BDD, and SonarQube. Working on the CheckmarxVDCC solution means your work will span multiple systems in the cloud and connect with multiple data sources within Ford with the end providing intelligent dashboards based on connected vehicle data and data from connected vehicle infrastructure.

The minimum requirements we seek:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
- 5+ years of experience with Java
- 3 +years of experience in Spring Boot
- 3+ years of experience with Relational Databases
- Experience with public cloud; Azure and/or Pivotal Cloud Foundry, GCP experience.
- Enterprise and Cloud reference architecture concepts knowledge
- Proven ability to create and implement IT solutions to meet business and infrastructure needs (based on functional/nonfunctional requirements).
- A proven background in coordinating with application architects to validate solution designs with a focus on the reliability and stability of the product.
- Hands on experience with industry standard development environment, technologies, tools and techniques including Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery techniques.
- Experience in agile principles & tools like Rally/Jira, value, standard methodologies, and tools. Practical experience in all systems life cycle phases.
- Focused on the security of the API services and ensure accurate tooling is in place to fix vulnerabilities and detect threats.
- An ability to provide recommendations on product estimation and planning.
- Develop solutions with architects to ensure interoperability of interfacing external and internal systems and develop prototypes to validate.
- Multi-functional experience with technical peers (Product Managers, Product Designers, Software Engineers, Architects, and vendors).
- Worked on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for crafting solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills.
- Ability and willingness to collaborate interpersonally in the IT development community on teams of varying sizes to acquire a common goal.
- Knowledge of Enterprise architecture and Cloud reference architecture concepts.
- Setting up and maintaining Automated Build Processes.
- Deployment/Release Execution and Planning, Instrumenting Zero Down Time deployments and Unattended deployments.
- Experienced with Test Driven Development, Behavior Driven Development, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with Software Development tools (Backlog Management, Source Code Management, Test Management, CI/CD).
