OrangePeople is seeking technically curious GCP DevOps engineers to join our team! The Cloud DevOps engineers will work within an agile team of Engineers and Operations personnel building highly resilient, scalable, and performant GCP infrastructure in an automated and efficient manner. The DevOps engineers will work alongside the Application DevOps teams and cross-functional IT teams. The engineers will be required to use their initiative to innovate to achieve maximum performance and be prepared to investigate and use new products/services offered by GCP.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Understand the pipelines already built and extend them to GCP like Cloud Functions and others.
  • Drive adoption of those capabilities.
  • Pilot and productionalize new capabilities/pipelines with a re-usable framework mindset.
  • Understand and has supported Data Engineers/Data Scientists.
  • Basic data engineering, enough to understand the requirements and day to day activities of data engineers.
  • Optimize and tweak environments for better performance.
  • Martech/Adtech/GMP understanding and experience is a huge plus.
  • Help with onboarding of new agencies and technologies.
Requirements:
  • DevOps Jenkins, Github/Bitbucket or similar, developed pipelines in groovy or similar, well versed with integration and deployment using these pipelines to various providers.
  • Programming Python, Shell, Pyspark (is a plus)
  • IAC Terraform or similar cloud native
  • OS - Unix background
  • Orchestration Any, Airflow (is a big plus)
  • Cloud (Primary) GCP (IAM, GCS, Compute Engines, VPC, DataProc, DataFlow, Cloud Functions, BigQuery (is a plus), VertaxAI (is a plus), GKE (is a plus))
  • Containerization Docker, Kubernetes (is a big plus)
  • Security IDP integrations, SAML, SCIM and so on.
  • Data Engineering Any Hadoop stack, installation and optimization, Databricks (is a plus)
  • Cloud (Secondary) - AWS (IAM, S3, Glue/EMR, EC2/VPC, ECS, Lambda)
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Participate in OrangePeople monthly team meetings, and participate in team-building efforts.
  • Contribute to OrangePeople technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
  • Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
  • Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
