IT Applications Manager
This position uses "hands on" technical and non-technical skills to understand applications technology, design, and architecture to advance the overall business functionality and support. This role requires an excellent understanding of cloud solutions and services to provide continuous development and operational support.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Technical Leadership 7+ years technical experience in a 'hands on' software leadership role
5+ years in managing technology teams, preferably dev/ops
5+ years of proven experience in application and database technologies
Proven track record of leading and supervising a technology team
Proven experience in enterprise design, development, operational support, implementation of internal and external based applications and data services
Demonstrated advance knowledge of solution development utilizing cloud services, service-oriented architecture, building web services, and software development languages and methods
Must be able to handle multiple tasks and have proven experience in organizing, planning, scheduling and be able to execute high profile projects
Custom code management utilizing tools such as DevOps
Strong initiative and the ability to work successfully in an environment with minimal direction
Proven experience utilizing strong analytical skills, technical design, development, and testing methodologies
Demonstrated skill set in building solutions and deploying technology to solve business problems
Prefer experience with Salesforce, ServiceNow, Azure cloud services, SharePoint, O365, Deltek, and other Microsoft Solutions
Proven experience developing strategic solutions roadmap and plans
Solid track record in prioritizing and executing tasks when under extreme pressure
Experience providing guidance and leadership to novice systems engineers
Flexible to handle changing work priorities in a fast pace environment
Project management experience

10+ years' technology 'hands on' experience working with various technologies such as: Cloud services, including Azure PaaS and other SaaS solutions MS SQL database systems on premise and in the cloud Languages such as Java, APEX, Angular, and Groovy
Integrations between on-premises and cloud systems Boomi, Mulesoft, and Azure ESB technologies BI reporting toolsets, such as Tableau and PowerBI Deltek Solutions Project Management systems Office 365, MS Teams, SharePoint, Concur, DevOps, and ServiceNow Communications
Strong communication and inter-personal skills; strong listener; capable of understanding business needs and translating them into business consumable documents and architectural standards; able to work in team settings; able to write and deliver concise, descriptive, technically-sound and high-quality architecture documents with few errors; able to translate complex data and architectural concepts and principles into easily-understood information consumable by others; ability to design and deliver architectural presentations to other members of IT, senior leadership, and business partners, adjusted into business consumable language.
Critical Thinking Analytical and logical approach to problem-solving.
Must be able to frame and recommend solutions that are best for the organization, even where that may not be technically "best practice".
