Description of Role:
- Analyze a broadly-defined business need and use functional decomposition to define value-driven epics, features, and user stories in the Product Backlog
- Write individual user stories that are clear, concise, and easy to understand and implement by the development team
- Identify related user stories and features, grouping them into themes as necessary, and document the associated business process flows as necessary
- Analyze and model existing business processes to better identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions to facilitate backlog grooming and product implementation
- Find, report, and document bugs in our Azure DevOps environment
- Work closely with the cross-functional agile team to define acceptance criteria in user stories and to estimate story points
- Work with development and project team member to design and draw wireframes for requested product features
- Ensure requirements are ready for approval, development, and are testable; assist in requirement change requests and testing as needed
Candidate Requirements:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education/experience
- Preferred experience with one or more Agile tools (Azure DevOps/VSTS, Jira, Version One) and Agile frameworks/methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, Lean etc.)
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a Business Analyst role, defining requirements and objectives for complex projects through research, interviews, and fact-finding
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in an IT-related project/program
- Excellent interpersonal communication and facilitation skills and proven ability to work with diverse personality types
- Experience with Microsoft Systems and Technologies preferred
- Microsoft Office/O365
- Microsoft Dynamics
- SharePoint
- Experience using wireframing tools (i.e., Balsamiq, Lucidchart, etc.)
- Understanding of software development life cycles
- Exceptional communication skills required, both written and verbal
