Job Description:
- Direct Hire, candidates must be based out of Columbus Ohio
- At this time we are not able to accept C2C, supply sponsorship or transfer sponsorship
- Builds infrastructure & systems that provide high levels of scalability, reliability, and performance for the applications, while balancing security, maintainability, and operational excellence.
- Works with SVN, GIT, team foundation version control, or other build tools in a continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) process to build and deploy to the Azure cloud environment.
- Ensures traceability, observability, and retrievability of sources and deliverables.
- Works as a team on escalations, resolving critical issues that impact our highly available DEV, QA, UAT, and production systems.
- Troubleshoots priority incidents, facilitates blameless post-mortems and ensures permanent closure of incidents.
- Works with an innovative engineering team to continuously implement and improve reliable and rapid build environments for DEV & QA providing timely build status updates; automates as much as possible to improve efficiency and quality.
- Builds logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to identify bottlenecks and assists with debugging, analysis, and optimization in the cloud environment.
- Improves operational efficiency through automation and deployment or development of new tools.
- Experiments with and recommends new technologies that simplify or improve the cloud environment.
- Must have Microsoft Azure Cloud Experience
- Extensive knowledge of cloud-agnostic configuration management frameworks (Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
- Thorough knowledge configuring and managing Azure cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP)
- In-depth knowledge of SSH, VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP(S), network routing, load balancers, cloud services, cloud storage, and subnetting
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins
- Knowledge of Linux (Red Hat/CentOS) architecture, security, administration, performance monitoring/tuning, troubleshooting, and production operations
- Fluent in Python and PowerShell Scripting with experience implementing automation and monitoring using shell scripting and other related tools
- Eight (8) years of experience in a cloud SRE/infrastructure, DevOps engineering, or cloud related role or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Experience managing and tuning datastore clusters (Elasticsearch, RDS, SQL, and MySQL)
- Experience with system observability (Azure Monitor, New Relic, Zabbix, CloudWatch, PagerDuty, Datadog, SignalFx, Graphana).
