Job Summary

Coach and mentor a diverse team of developers with a primary focus on Web Development and systems integration support. Provides guidance and oversight regarding requirements gathering, design, testing and implementation. Assist developers to achieve higher levels of discipline, quality, and development maturity. Collaborate with other senior technical leaders to establish, enforce, and evolve software and quality assurance practices and patterns.
  • Develop, maintain, and ensure proper execution of cross-functional project plans, including personnel and hardware resources.
  • Review project status with cross-functional team, identify deviations to project plans, and take corrective actions, as needed.
  • Alert management to changes to commitments.
  • Manage the IT Systems process and procedures.
  • Participate in the development and improvement of product development and quality processes.
  • Collaborate with other functional areas to ensure product development processes are in place and being used.
  • Oversee implementation and evolution of development tools and methods to support effective and efficient process adoption including coding standards, visual and UX design standards, software performance.
  • Provide project representation within and external to IT
  • Collaborate with other functional areas to develop and communicate project status to internal and external groups.
  • Mentor and maintain a high-quality standard following industry standard Software Development Lifecycles and modern secure coding standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the development and support of all web-based applications, intranet and internet facing, including architecture and documentation.
  • Oversees web application developers to ensure that websites are built and maintained based on evolving technology and business needs.
  • Preside over code review and testing processes, ensuring good code coverage, documentation, and standards.
  • Provide support to other IT members, including troubleshooting problems and assisting developers with obstacles through mentoring.
  • Manage the development staff workload; ensure developers' abilities align with development requirements and monitor individual bandwidth to ensure all requirements are met in the most efficient manner and that all goals are met and adhere to approved budgets and scope.
Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements
  • Experience with common web development languages, both client and server side (e.g. HTML, JavaScript, Java, PHP, ASP.NET, .Net Core). Front-end JavaScript frameworks a plus (Vue.js, Angular or React)
  • Experience with API frameworks a plus (REST, SOAP, XML, Swagger, RapidAPI, Microservices)
  • Experience with backend support technologies (e.g. Microsoft SQL, MySQL, IIS, Apache, AWS and Azure a plus.)
  • Experience with Web interfaces and integrations supporting SAP C/4 and S/4HANA is a plus
  • Experience with application architecture, UI/UX, wireframes and mockups preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency with Development tools, Visual Studio, GIT, Azure DevOps.
  • Strong understanding of Project Management principles
  • Previous experiencing directing and leading a team, agency experience a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across a variety of teams in a fast paced, complex environment
  • Willingness to contribute new ideas to the team and improve existing processes
