The IT Project Coordinator is supporting the IT Operations manager and is responsible for guiding project delivery teams to achieve on-time, high-quality results through enforcement of the department’s Agile Delivery processes, JIRA best practices, and timely resolution of issues impeding progress.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate IT project activities and information.
• Liaise with internal business stakeholders to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives.
• Organize and facilitate periodic stakeholder status meetings.
• Facilitate daily scrums for assigned teams and review the burndown chart with the team. During Scrum, note any blockers/impediments raised and then facilitate a post scrum session with appropriate team members to determine a plan of action to remove them where appropriate.
• Initiate post-scrum follow up with the IT Manager to determine assignments and target dates for removing blockers/impediments. Own the removal of as many as possible. Track the status of all such issues until resolution.
• Champion the iPipeline Agile Delivery process with internal teams. Lead team to implement and maintain best practices for JIRA backlog management, including proper story organization, right-sizing stories, correct subtasks, effective use of epics, and other JIRA features such as roadmaps and dashboards.
• Create and maintain project documentation, plans and reports.
• Develop project strawman plan including schedule of project timelines.
• Prepare meeting agendas and minutes.
• Proactively analyze sprint activities to assess risks of not meeting sprint goals. Follow up on risks to the sprint plan and work with the Product Owner as needed to course correct. Query JIRA daily to identify any due dates that have been missed.
• Lead Sprint reviews, planning and retrospectives. Track the team’s progress on implementing the improvements.
• Create sprint plans as assigned.
• Escalate project impediments as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
Skills Requirements
• At least 3 year of experience as an IT Project Coordinator.
• Proficient in Agile Delivery process or project management.
• Advanced level JIRA user.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Superior problem-solving ability.
• Self-motivated.
• Ability to keep track of multiple workstreams.
• Knowledge of DevOps, Networking, or Systems Administration concepts.
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Nice To Have
• CSM or PMI-ACP a plus but not required.
• AWS Cloud Practitioner certification as plus
