Overview
The IT Solution Architect works closely with counterparts in the business to align technical solutions with business needs. They have the practical hands on experience to translate those needs into data, applications and technology solutions. This is not a pure theoretical and design only architect role and will require the candidate to have the ability to build out the solution if required.

Education and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree required; Masters degree or multiple certifications preferred
• 10+ years relevant work experience; at least 3 + years of experience as a solution architect or business facing technologist
Technical Skills:
• Advanced expertise across multiple areas / technologies
• Extensive practical experience of architecting enterprise class business critical solutions
• A broad, enterprise-wide view of business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
• Experience with business, technical specific requirement analysis, business process modelling and mapping
• The ability to apply architectural principles to business solutions
• The ability to assimilate and correlate disconnected documentation and drawings, and articulate their collective relevance to the organization and to high-priority business issues
• Has extensive design and development experience of Azure, e.g. Logic Apps/API Management/Service Bus, Azure AD, Azure Resource Manager, iPaaS. IaaS
• Technically adept in multiple areas, including .NET/C#, Node.js, PowerShell, REST/SOAP, Swagger, JSON, WSDL, XML etc.
• Strong experience in CI/CD using Azure DevOps or similar tooling
• Expertise in the architectural design, and implementation of design patterns including Middleware, Bulk Data, Real-Time Data, File Based, Cloud, Process Integrations, and Event Processing
• Experience using model-based representations that can be adjusted as required to collect, aggregate or disaggregate complex and conflicting information
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations
• Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus
• Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities

Physical Requirements: This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.

- Evaluates needs for new or changed business capabilities
- Conducts market research and assesses the business value and performance of solutions against capability needs
- Defines conceptual, logical, and physical representations of enterprise capabilities, information and technologies
- Designs solution architectures for complex problems and develops the solutions as needed
- Analyzes current trends in technology; conducts POCs and provides recommendations for adaptation where appropriate
- Facilitates root cause analysis; identifies systemic solutions
- Identifies risks (e.g., cost, maintenance, availability, performance, reliability, integrity) and recommends mitigations for those risks
- Sets architectural direction aligned with IT strategy in assigned area; guides others
- Determines technology redundancy and operational gaps in the enterprise; makes recommendations for improvement
- Develops Enterprise standards and reusable patterns that reduce time to market, risks and costs
