Primary Responsibilities
- Migration of existing VDI services to a new virtualization automation platform
- Implement Cloud Pod Architecture into multiple VDI environments
- Redesign a FISMA environment and upgrade to Windows 10 image
- Migration to AppVolumes version 4
- Work with the VDI team to refine and implement logging, alerting, and monitoring
- Communicate effectively with Service Reliability Engineers and DevOps team
- Strong focus on vSphere capacity planning and performance tools
Required Skills : - Five years+ experience operating, maintaining/upgrading VMware virtual infrastructures - Three Years+ experience configuring and maintaining a scalable and high availability virtual environment utilizing VMware Horizon (VDI) 7.x with AppVolumes - Five years+ experience developing & maintaining Windows OS golden images
Basic Qualification :
Additional Skills : Lead a migration of VDI environments to a new digital infrastructure. This includes rebuilding the front-end services; VMware Horizon; vRealize Automation blueprints; capacity management; system documentation and the sharing of knowledge internally with peers and leaders.
