As an IT DevOps Engineer Lead on the EDCS Evolving Capabilities team, you'll work closely with application delivery teams and other enterprise teams to enable DevOps culture and advance Continuous Delivery capabilities. Your focus will be in the areas of advocating and improving Developer Experience, automation of CI/CD Pipeline and underlying toolchain, and enabling application delivery teams to achieve agility. In this role, you'll influence the culture and strategic direction of DevOps adoption throughout the organization, help lead us towards fully automated, cloud-first application deployments, and explore/introduce new tools, techniques, and practices into the organization to maximize business value and agility

responsibilities:
- Work closely with application teams to advise on CD practices and assist in implementing cloud ready and cloud native solutions
- Identify repeat issues/roadblock and collaborate with other organizations to "pave the road" for the enterprise
- Advance Pipeline as Code capabilities and make it easy to consume by application teams in a self-service manner
- Contribute to training and enabling efforts to make application teams self-sufficient (e.g. enterprise knowledgebase with patterns and practices, communities of practices etc.)
Required skills:
Experience designing and implementing Continuous Delivery architectural patterns and cloud (AWS or Azure) infrastructure solutions
Experience in source code management, continuous integration, and automated deployment and management using tools like GIT, Azure DevOps, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, OpenShift/Kubernetes/Docker, Terraform
Experience in multiple scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Go, Python, or similar languages
Preferred skills and experiences:
Application development experience using .Net core is a plus
