Top skills:
1) Provide leadership and technical oversight to a team of 7-8 geographically dispersed developers. The dev team will be building tools and solutions - both support and new development.
2) Must come from a hands on technical background, however this position is not expected to be a hands-on coding
3) Tech stack is Kafka, StreamSets, .Net and Azure in a DevOps environment

Application Development Manager will leverage technical leadership to lead projects and manage a team of software developers and providing leadership and direction for selecting solutions across a wide range of environments. Responsible for managing team’s project goals, contributes to product strategy, and helps develop the team. The App Dev Manager effectively manages internal and customer facing applications – including maintenance and new development.

- Manage a team of software developers, including task planning and code reviews
- Drive technical projects and provide leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment
- Take responsibility for the overall planning, execution and success of complex technical projects
- Build strong relationship with business partners to drive strategy and tactical execution
- Build best-in-class systems that are scalable, secure and will support organic growth
- Assist with assessment, re-design or replacement of legacy systems, ensuring optimal operation during the migration process
- Ensure the integrity of all information systems and corporate information through the implementation and maintenance of established system management practices and controls
- Identify tools, processes and techniques to improve efficiency and quality of the Development group
- Mentor staff to improve skills, provide career growth, and ensure succession plans
