Trillium Technical is now seeking a Manager of Data Lake Engineering for direct-hire placemetn!
The Data Lake department is seeking a Manager, Data Lake Engineering to oversee a team of Data Architects, Engineers responsible for designing and developing Azure based Big data platform and solutions, and analytic products to support the mission.
The Manager of Data Lake Engineering must have a strong attention to detail and deep knowledge of Big Data Platforms (on prem, in Cloud – Azure preferred), Data Engineering, Data warehousing, and Data Architecture. Ability to effectively communicate with business, technical, and data and analytic leaders is essential for this role.
This role requires working with multiple sources of healthcare data (ex: claims, financial, and clinical data) to deliver high value analytic assets and support new and existing initiatives. Projects range from Big Data platform engineering, Cloud Data Lake build and migration, Analytics solution development for operational BI, Real-time analytics, Advanced Analytics, Data-as-a-Service including basic data design/manipulation/analysis to more advanced techniques and analytics. The Manager of Enterprise Data Architecture will work closely with his/her team, business stakeholders, data engineers, BI developers, Information Security, Cloud services and subject matter experts to ensure analytic products are designed according to standards, high quality, and meet the intended business needs.

• Minimum of 7 years in data modeling, data architecture, systems analysis and design at the enterprise level
• Experience in leading, coaching and developing data analytics resources
• Strong experience in translating business requirements into data design and managing delivery in a complex organization
• Significant hands on experience in working in and implementing data modeling tools such as Erwin, ERStudio , Toad etc.
• Strong experience of working with ETL and integration technologies such as SSIS, Informatica, IBM Infosphere, Talend, Kafka, Spark, etc.
• 5-7 Years of experience in delivering, architecting and managing Cloud Data Lake, specifically Azure Data Analytics technologies and architecture is desired, Enterprise Analytics Solutions, and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
• 5 years of experience leading Scrum teams, Architects, Technology professionals
• Experience developing plan, roadmap, stakeholder communication on projects, solutions
• Advanced hands-on SQL, Spark, Python, Scala, pySpark (2+ of these) knowledge and experience working with relational databases for data querying and retrieval would be desirable.
• Experience with Design and Architecture of Azure big data frameworks/tools: Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks, Azure ML, SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Data Bricks..
• Experience with Design and Architecture of relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including MS SQL Server, Cosmos DB
• Experience with Design and Architecture of data security and Azure security, VM, Vnet
• Experience with building processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
• Experience leading and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
• Experience building Big data pipeline with Spark and/or Data Bricks is a plus.
• 5-7 Years of Experience with Spark. Databricks Experience desirable
• Strong SQL skills on multiple platform (preferred MPP systems)
• Leading development of Data Lake Architectures from scratch
• 5+ years of Programming experience in Python, SQL, Spark
• Experience with Azure DevOps/CI-CD, Continuous integration and deployment
• Experience with Real time analytics on Spark, Kafka, Event Hub is a plus
• Experience in petabyte scale data environments and integration of data from multiple diverse sources
• Cloud advanced analytics – Azure ML, machine learning, text analysis, NLP is a plus
• Healthcare experience, most notably in Clinical data, Epic, Clarity, Payer data and reference data is a plus but not mandatory
• Experience as Product Owner, Scrum Master roles is desired
